24.01.2012 - Bogota
Today I met up with an Columbian friend whom I met in Australia a couple years ago. I got a little tour around the city center and we went for some café con queso (Columbian Coffee with cheese not in it instead next to it) and Aguardiente (tasty snaps made of anise and sugar cane a speciality from Colombia).
Zona Rosa in the evening where all the great bars and clubs of Bogota are located. We went to a fun place where gringos and locals meet together for Tandem and party. It was a great and fun night out and I got known to many Columbians and people from all around the world.

22./23.01.2012 - Bogota28 hours and 3 flights later I finally made it to Bogota exhausted but happy. I got a great place to stay located in the old part of Bogota called La Candelaria close to the city centre and all major attractions. Today I´d a little stroll through the city centre still exhausted from the journey and fighting the height of approx. 2500 meters which makes walking around tiring if you are not used to it. The first impression of Bogota is great. It is almost like any other city in South America I have been before. Whereas it´s more modern and cleaner and I totally feel safe. On every corner you´ll find police and security. Of course there are places you should not go to and espacially at night time it get´s less safe and a little bit creepy in the dark streets. Moreover I´m wondering where are all the tourists. If you walk around the city you won´t find many of them. In the evening I went for my first proper colombian food with my roommates which was really delicious and to an colombian bar being to only gringos.
21./22.01.2012Finally it´s time for another trip! :) The plan is to have no plan because that´s the way I prefer to travel. Tomorrow I´m off to Bogota and in about 2 months I´ll be flying back home from San Jose. What comes inbetween is a good question. I´m really looking forward to my time abroad and espacially to make a lot of awesome experiences, see awesome places, meet a lot of great people and also to reunite with some friends. I´m ready for take off --> Flightmarathon with my favourite airline (not)!
